Mechanical/ Piping Design Engineer

• You act within project teams for design of power generation projects, in particular for the mechanical part: turbines, boilers, generators, piping.
• You are involved in general layouts and you calculate the overall performance of the power plant.
• You participate in the engineering projects, elaborate design documentation, produce schemes and diagrams within the projects developed by the teams.
• You enhance an integrated design process by ensuring the interfaces over the different disciplines involved.
• You report progress to the project manager / head of department for all activities on a weekly basis or based on the required periodicity, by case.
• You respond to the wishes and needs of the Client or of other stakeholders.
• You keep up with the standards, guidelines and new techniques and developments in your discipline and report these to your team members or colleagues.
• You work together with colleagues, external partners (such as architects, site surveyors, other design and engineering consultancies, contractors during the construction phase, etc.) and clients in a positive way.
• You have an international mindset and collaborate with our offices abroad for certain engineering tasks and take the necessary actions to guarantee the required quality of the projects.
• You actively promote and establish BIM collaboration procedures according to our company vision where applicable.
• You comply with and enforce compliance with the Health/Safety guidelines set out in the Project Safety Plan;
• You receive and share the expertise with the projects teams.

• You are a qualified Engineer holding a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) as a minimum, preferably in Power Engineering.
• Preferably, you have been involved in design.
• You have good experience in using specialized software as Plant 3D/Aveva/PDMS or equivalent, as well as MSOffice package etc.
• You are rigorous and solution minded.
• A good knowledge of English is a must.
• You have good reporting skills.
• You have good communication skills, orally and written.
• You are a team player.
• You are client-oriented and flexible.
• You are willing to make international trips for our international collaboration and international projects.
• You have a dedicated personality for working in a dynamic environment.
• Mobility by car might be necessary so an international driving license “B” is required.
