- Conduct cabling, sub-system, and train functional, performance, and safety tests.
- Interpret electrical schematics and wire lists accurately.
- Operate and utilize diagnostic tools, testing software, and programming interfaces (software loading).
- Use measurement instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
- Identify, trace, and repair electrical faults with rigor and precision.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable norms, safety regulations, and internal standards.
- Record inspection results accurately and generate test reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Work flexibly across shifts, adapting to changing conditions and environments.
- Uphold safety protocols, including PPE usage and EHS standards.
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Industrial IT Engineering, or Railway fields.
- Certifications in Electrical Safety and First Aid are a plus.
- From RS (Railway Systems): Minimum 2 years of experience.
- From other sectors: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and schematics.
- Proficiency with testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience in software tools for testing and system diagnostics.
- Sound knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and procedures relevant to railway systems.
- Methodical troubleshooting and repair skills, with a proven ability to diagnose complex electrical and mechanical faults.
- Experience with testing and commissioning of railway-specific systems (e.g., safety systems, TCMS, pantographs) is highly advantageous.
- Attention to detail and strong inspection capabilities ensuring thorough and accurate testing.
- Problem-solving mindset with a drive for improvement, actively seeking solutions and contributing to process optimization.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, supporting a collaborative culture and effectively communicating with colleagues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.
- Adaptability to new testing methods and unexpected challenges, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
- High level of dependability and consistent task performance, ensuring reliable execution of responsibilities.
- Integrity and ethical conduct in reporting and technical judgment, maintaining accuracy and transparency.
- Strong commitment to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) practices, adhering to all safety guidelines and promoting a safe working environment.
- Generate comprehensive and accurate test reports, document findings, and ensure traceability.
