We are conducting a recruitment process for the position of Head of E-commerce and Digital on behalf of our client, a company active in the fashion and sports industry. Operating through several fiscal entities, they represent well-known and luxury brands in Romania via a network of mono-brand stores and their own retail concept.About the role:This is a strategic leadership position with a critical role in shaping and accelerating the companys digital agenda. The Head of E-Commerce & Digital will be responsible for driving the growth and performance of all digital channels, overseeing operations across three proprietary e-commerce platforms as well as key online marketplaces.Key Responsibilities:1. E-Commerce Management
  • Own the performance, roadmap, and day-to-day operations of all three e-commerce websites.
  • Oversee product merchandising, pricing strategies, promotions, and content optimization.
  • Manage integrations with ERP, logistics, and payment solutions.
  • Drive UX and Conversion Rate Optimization improvements based on data and user feedback.
2. Marketplace Expansion
  • Oversee and grow presence on local and international marketplaces.
  • Ensure proper listing management, pricing policies, campaign participation, and seller performance metrics.
  • Coordinate feed optimization and marketplace platform integrations.
3. Digital Marketing
  • Lead paid media strategy: performance marketing (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Programmatic), SEO, affiliate, and retargeting.
  • Manage CRM and email marketing efforts to increase CLV and reduce churn.
  • Oversee social media alignment with brand and performance goals.
  • Track KPIs (ROAS, Customer Acquisition Cost, Life time Value, etc.) and continuously improve marketing ROI.
4. Strategic & Commercial Leadership
  • Develop and manage annual online revenue and marketing budgets.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, logistics, and retail teams to align omnichannel strategies.
  • Identify and implement new tools and technologies to enhance e-commerce efficiency.
  • Report performance metrics to senior leadership and propose growth plans.
5. Team & Agency Coordination
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a small internal digital team and/or external digital agency partners.
  • Establish agile processes and workflows for campaigns, development, and customer support.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in e-commerce, ideally managing multiple e-shops and marketplaces.
  • Strong knowledge of Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Klaviyo/Mailchimp, Google Merchant Center, and SEO tools (SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with marketplace platforms and aggregator integrations.
  • Performance-driven mindset with excellent analytical skills and strong commercial acumen.
  • Fluent in English and Romanian. Knowledge of digital trends in fashion/sportswear is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
