Job Description:DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.RFT is the technology partner to the Risk divisions of Credit Risk, Market Risk and Non-Financial Risk. This includes definition of the IT strategy and provision of solutions to allow Riskto manage all aspects of risk from the analysis of counterparty credit risk to the protection of theBank’s infrastructure and information.You will take on a strategic and hands-on role as a Technical Director, working within a global, cross-functional team to define technology strategy, guide engineering excellence, and ensure the successful delivery of mission-critical banking solutions.Responsibilities:

Design and review architecture for mission-critical banking platforms
Write and review code and technical specifications using Java or SQL/Oracle
Define and enforce architectural patterns, frameworks, and engineering best practices
Align project implementation with enterprise architecture principles and business strategy
Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams
Collaborate with Product Owners, Tribe Leads, and Architects to deliver aligned, high-impact solutions
Mentor team members and contribute to skill development and knowledge sharing
Stay current with industry trends and apply relevant innovations to improve technology delivery

Skills:

Minimum 20 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 10 years of experience in the banking sector.
Expert in Java or SQL/Oracle.
Experience of working on public cloud – GCP preferred, AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of various distributed/multi-tiered architecture styles – Micro-services, Data mesh, Integration patterns etc.

Experience on designing solutions, based on DDD and implementing Clean / Hexagonal Architecture efficient systems that can handle large-scale operation.
Focus on quality – experience with TDD, BDD, Stress and Contract Tests.
Experience on leading teams and mentoring developers.
