Its expertise and closely managed supply chain have been behind some of Damen’s most important deliveries to date, fully illustrating the group’s diverse product portfolio.The roleThe role of a Power BI Developer / Data Analyst requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and effective communication to turn raw data into valuable insights that drive informed business decisions.Key accountabilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.Structure and normalize data to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in reporting.Develop and maintain data models to support data analysis and business intelligence activities.Implement programming solutions to automate data processes and enhance data analysis capabilities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality control measures.Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in data analysis and Power BI development.Skills & experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field: Which can provide a solid foundation for a Power BI Developer or Data Analyst.Strong knowledge of databases: Deep understanding of databases, including experience with SQL or other query languages, is essential. Knowledge of working with relational and non-relational databases can also be valuable.Programming language skills: Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, can be beneficial for data processing and statistical analysis.Experience using Power BI: In-depth knowledge and experience using Business Intelligence (BI) tools, especially Power BI, is essential. This includes skills in creating reports, dashboards and effective data visualizations.Knowledge of data modelling: ability to design and implement effective data models to ensure accurate and consistent analysis.Data Communication and Interpretation: Excellent communication skills are essential to be able to translate data into information understood by others.
