And we invest in our world-class team, empowering our colleagues to unpack their potential, because we believe when our people grow, so does our business.To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visit | LinkedIn | Glassdoor | Facebook | YouTube.At our Manufacturing site of Piatra Neamt, part of the Amcor Flexible EMEA BG and Meat & Dairy BU, we are looking for a talented and motivatedQUALITY MANAGERThat will act as a pivot in ensuring continuous improvement of our processes and recording these processes in the quality management system, creating awareness and enthusiasm among all co-workers in the field of quality.JOB PURPOSEWithin a plant with a yearly turnover of 12 million € and about 80 colleagues, you will be the head of the Quality team, directly reporting to the Plant General Manager, managing a group of 4 quality technicians to reach the targets set on quality and food safety. You work on a daily base with the Plant Management Team and the colleagues from all other functions in the plant, and have the possibility of working with customers and suppliers from time to time.Our offer is for a permanent contract and you will be required to work on site at the plant located in Savinesti, Neamt county.MAIN Accountabilities
  • Quality leader: Ensures compliance with all Quality and Food Safety initiatives;
  • Managing the quality assurance agenda, analyzing, reporting, and coordinating external and internal complaints.
  • Focus on driving quality of customer and supplier claims to “Zero”.
  • Supporting the implementation (in terms of quality) of New Business Projects in different market segments.
  • Apply thoroughly problem-solving techniques (8D and DMAIC) to fast solve sustainability any quality issues.
  • Apply thoroughly the MOC change management to avoid quality issues in the future due to unstainable validation of any kind of product and process and equipment. Solving the risk at the source of the value stream.
  • Implements with BG projects to move from quality control towards process control.
  • Support customers on following up claims from the technical point of view (jointly calls / visits with customers)
  • Manage internal / external claim management suppliers for sustainable quality.
  • Act as a Safety Leader, fostering a culture of Safety First across the Quality department and ensuring all direct reports embody and enforce Amcor safety rules and standards in order to meet safety goals.
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement standards and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTSFormal Qualifications and Experience
  • Higher education in Engineering/Chemistry.
  • Experience (min. 2-3 years) in similar position, managing a quality department and/or laboratory.
  • Experience in support projects and change processes.
  • Experience/knowledge of and experience with CI improvement projects.
  • Knowledge and experience with quality standards and food safety production (ISO, BRC) and laboratory testing
Specific Skills and Abilities * Good English spoken and written.
  • Proficiency with MSOffice (Word, Excel Power Point) and aptitude for learning new systems.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy.
  • “Hands-on” and pragmatic.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive team player.
  • High energy level, stress resistant, flexible.
  • Willingness for (occasionally) international travel
