
Accountant /Senior - Hybrid (Pipera) - Multinational Co

- Reports directly to Chief Accountant (to be hired); temporarily to Finance Manager - A VERY PLEASANT PERSON, UNUSUALLY SUPPORTIVE AND PROFESSIONAL!
- No (internal) subordinates right now (stand-alone role, very collaborative environment)
- On a temporary basis: supports payroll provider
- Solid accounting foundation: knowledge of the chart of accounts, taxation basics, invoice registration, e-invoice, SPV, and reporting.
- SAP knowledge is a must - ideally recent, hands-on experience in the last 2-3 years.
- Must understand accounting principles and apply them (knowledge of main account groups).
- Commercial company background (distribution/buy-sell model)
- Therefore this role is the next one hired in the finance div, after the CFO
- This new hired accountant will:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure business transactions are recorded accurately and on time
- Incoming invoices - Accounts payable
- Expense claims
- Semi-automatic bank statements posting
- Prepare reports, Purchase Orders, supporting documentation
- Perform payments in SAP and Kyriba
- Support timely month- and year-end closing activities
- Collaborate with auditors and ensure compliance with local accounting principles and company policies
- Manage bank-related admin (open/close bank cards, approval matrix updates)
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations for specific GL accounts
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and SAP optimization
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare input for payroll provider and verify working hours, deductions, benefits, taxes
- Review payroll documents, tax statements, insurance contributions
- Ensure payroll data is reflected in financial records and compliant with tax/labor law
- Maintain accurate HR/payroll-related documents (excluding contracts/addendums/JDs)
- SAP knowledge is a must - ideally recent, hands-on experience in the last 2-3 years.
- Experience in a multinational environment; English at a good level (needed for SAP trainings and updates).
- Commercial company background (distribution/buy-sell model); not from shared services (too process-driven), banks, IFNs, or state institutions. IT and banking backgrounds are not preferred.
- Solid accounting foundation: knowledge of the chart of accounts, taxation basics, invoice registration, e-invoice, SPV, and reporting. Must understand accounting principles and apply them (know main account groups).
- Education: Accounting/Finance degree (ASE preferred).
- At least 3 years of accounting experience.
- Possibility of growth into Chief Accountant position (open).
- Simple business model: no production, no treasury, no loans, no hedging.
- Interaction with colleagues abroad, participation in meetings and discussions with international teams (West Eu).
