Telematics exposes the car's internal ecosystem to the Internet: the car becomes an element of the Internet of Things (IoT), offering new levels of access to its functionalities and a platform for building additional features in areas such as safety, security, and comfort. You will work with concepts like Telematics, 5G and V2X (vehicle-to-everything).You will be part of a team responsible for developing the software components for a Telematics team, with one of the next specialisations: Telematics Applications, Connectivity, Calls, Security, SW Update, System, and AUTOSAR integration.What You Will DoDevelop software components (C++/Linux)Analyse and assess customer specifications; develop components based on this informationTake care of communication with the customer in their domainPlan the features and tickets according to project milestones; create tasks for the planned features according to Agile methodologyTake care of communication between team members and project managementThe quality of software components is in accordance with the standards specified in BMSCreate reports for the project, local management and customerResolve inconsistencies in case of unclear technical requirements in the specification by direct communication with the customerMake functional testing of the developed source code, and participate in code review sessionsDefect analysis and scenario validationAct according to the standards of the automotive industry, in-car applications and software development processesEvaluate change requests from the customer and identify the risksReview the changes and propose adjustments if requiredFamiliar with security concepts in Linux/EmbeddedCreate and maintain code design documents at the high level and/or component levelWhat You Need to Be SuccessfulAt least 4+ years of experience as a software developerBachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant (IT-connected) specialisationsSolid knowledge of C++, proven by 4+ years of experience.Linux expertiseExperience in developing embedded applicationsKnowledge in inter-process communication, threadingWorking knowledge of software development processesWorking knowledge of embedded operating systemsKnowledge of Security conceptsGood English skills in spoken and written EnglishExperience in working with (external) customers/OEMsSelf-driven, autonomous and systematic way of working and able to help others achieve thisAnalytical skills and good system understanding in the embedded SW areaKnowledge in agile software development methods (e.g. V-Model, ASPICE, etc.)Knowledge of agile methods and frameworks (SAFe) is an advantageBonus Points if You HaveAutomotive experienceSecurity knowledge (Sandboxing, encryption)Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Stash)What Makes You EligibleWillingness to travel (0-20% of time), depending on the project necessitiesWhat We OfferFlexible work environmentAccess to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN UniversityCompetitive wellness benefits“Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards programAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development#LI-DP3#LI-RemoteYou Belong HereHARMAN is committed to making every employee feel welcomed, valued, and empowered.
