This is what makes Konecranes a unique place to work.Job DescriptionAs a Java Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on this ground-breaking application and become an expert in the field through our comprehensive training program.You are going to work on our emulation product suit. These products act as a digital twin of the terminal, connects to complex systems like TOS (Terminal Operating Systems), and ECS (Equipment Controls System), and such executes the processes on the terminal in a digital environment.Our emulation software is built using Java and a range of powerful technologies. You will implement and maintain inter-process communication on a range of different communication channels and customize our core emulation processes, since no two terminals are the same, and our configurable approach ensures a tailor-made solution for each client.With high demands from our discerning customers for stability, scalability, performance, and security, we need your analytical skills, collaborative mindset, and creative thinking to help us meet and exceed these expectations.Key Responsibilities:

Writing of clean and maintainable code.
Participating in challenging projects for our diverse international customers after completing a training period.
Mastering the art of effective inter process communication.
Developing a deep understanding of the product's functionality and technical specifications.
Configuring our product uniquely for each customer, guaranteeing a tailored fit.
Engaging in both independent work and collaborative efforts within a vibrant scrum team.

Qualifications

Demonstrable work experience in Java software development.
Curiosity and willingness to learn new stuff.
Knowledge or exposure to Agile development methodologies.
Desirable experience with IntelliJ, GitLab, and Maven.
Desirable experience with Oracle and MSSQL databases.
An ability to thrive in a dynamic scrum team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
