As a Senior AWS Data Lake Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our AWS-based data lake infrastructure. Your expertise will contribute to the effective storage, organization, and retrieval of large volumes of data for analytical and business intelligence purposes.Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain a scalable and secure AWS-based data lake architecture.
Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions for efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval.
Implement data governance and security measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Work with AWS big data services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, and others to build and optimize data pipelines.
Develop and implement data lake policies, procedures, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data lake solutions with existing systems and applications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as an AWS Data Lake Engineer, with expertise in designing and implementing data lake solutions.
In-depth knowledge of AWS big data services and tools.
Experience with data modeling, schema design, and optimization for analytics workloads.
Proficient in query languages and tools for data extraction and analysis.
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in AWS.
Familiarity with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions.
AWS certifications related to data analytics or big data are highly desirable.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Professional level certification in AWS (or agreement to obtain within 6 months post hire)
