Department: Electrical Engineering / Ship Design / MaritimeGeneral OverviewAs a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex projects in electrical engineering and ship design, ensuring on-time delivery, technical excellence, and client satisfaction. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and drive process optimization to improve efficiency and overall project performance.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the entire project lifecycle: strategic planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.Manage and optimize budgets, resources, schedules, and risk levels.Strengthen communication and collaboration between technical teams, clients, suppliers, and external partners.Anticipate technical, operational, and financial risks; propose and implement mitigation measures.Ensure compliance with internal standards, legal regulations, and quality requirements.Monitor project progress and provide clear reporting to stakeholders.Initiate and support innovations and process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and profitability.Develop and mentor team members: allocate resources effectively, provide professional training, performance evaluations, and constructive feedback.Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, coordinate training and audits as needed.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Naval Architecture, or related fields.Minimum 8–10 years of experience in complex technical projects, with at least 4–5 years in project management (preferably in electrical engineering, shipbuilding, or maritime).Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are a strong advantage.Advanced skills in project planning tools (MS Project, Primavera, Jira, etc.).Strong knowledge of technical design/documentation tools (AutoCAD, Eplan – advanced level).Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.Strategic thinker with strong decision-making skills and solution-oriented mindset.Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); advanced English required, other languages are a plus.Flexibility, resilience, and willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and international).BenefitsCompetitive salary package and performance-based bonuses.Meal vouchers and private medical insurance.Flexible schedule and hybrid/ remote working option.Modern equipment (latest laptop, mobile phone, etc.).Involvement in international, challenging projects within the shipbuilding and electrical engineering sectors.Access to continuous professional development and management training.Performance recognition: annual bonuses, awards, and career growth opportunities.Email: andra.ghevrec@ibdromania.com +40 732 472 744
