Their develop, build, and manage renewable energy projects across multiple technologies, including onshore and offshore wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage systems.The OpportunityOur client is looking for a Senior PPA Originator to lead and expand it's power purchase agreement (PPA) activities in Romania. This is a senior role, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the Offtake & Route to Market strategy in Romania. This role requires a well-established network of corporate buyers, utilities, and key stakeholders in the Romanian energy market, as well as a deep understanding of local business practices and power procurement strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesFull ownership of the local Offtake & Route to Market strategy in Romania.Develop and maintain relationships with corporate buyers, utilities, and brokers to secure term sheets, MoUs, and long-form PPAs.Lead internal and external project management, including preparing materials for PPA RfPs, CfD auctions, and route-to-market agreements.Conduct PPA pricing analysis and support financial modeling, often leading junior team members.Oversee the negotiation of PPAs, including term sheets, exclusivity agreements, and GoO sales agreements.Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with legal teams, M&A specialists, and PPA brokers.Track market trends, regulatory changes, and potential cross-border PPA opportunities.Represent the company in industry events, forums, and stakeholder meetings.What We Are Looking ForMSc in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in PPA origination and power markets.Proven track record in deal structuring, negotiation, and execution of PPAs.Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a structured approach to work.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently in a senior, market-leading role.Fluent in English and Romanian.Experience in the renewables, wind power, or infrastructure sectors.International work experience.Proficiency in additional languages.
