If you want to apply your coding skills to solve real-world problems and contribute to a more sustainable future, we would love to hear from you.Our intern programmeAs a Software Test Engineer Intern, you will help improve the quality and reliability of Winnow's products by developing automated testing tools and infrastructure. You will work closely with our engineering and quality teams to design and implement systems that help validate our computer vision technology and supporting software.In this role, you'll use your coding skills to build tools, prototypes, and automated tests that help us verify that our systems behave correctly in real-world scenarios. One example area is developing automation that allows us to simulate food waste events for our Winnow Vision computer vision system.This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with:
Automated testing and quality engineering
Building developer tools and testing infrastructure
Working with APIs and backend services
Supporting computer vision system testing workflows
Collaborating with engineers in an Agile environment
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving practical problems with code, thinking about how systems can be tested and automated, and building simple, reliable solutions.Our Tech StackDuring your internship, you'll gain exposure to parts of our current stack, which includes:

Requirements:About you
You'll be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
You'll have a strong foundational knowledge of programming principles and data structures
You'll be familiar with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Go, Python, JavaScript)
With a genuine interest in AI, IoT, and modern cloud-based architectures, you'll be curious about learning how large-scale, real-world systems are built and deployed
You'll be excited to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
With a proactive mindset you'll be looking for a role where you can use your initiative to problem solve and take ownership for your work
You'll enjoy collaborating with colleagues and will be eager to learn and grow
