In Romania, we are growing and investing in people and performance, offering long‑term career opportunities in a stable, international company with a strong safety culture and a clear sustainability purpose.This is the roleAs Area Sales Manager, you will build and develop a strong network of distributors and key stakeholders to secure ROCKWOOL’s market position in the GBI and ETICS/EWI segments. You will drive sales growth, strengthen customer relationships and ensure excellent technical and commercial support across the value chain.Key responsibilitiesSales & technical supportPlan and execute distribution sales activities for GBI & ETICS/EWI in your area.Maintain and expand the distributor network; negotiate and renew sales contracts in line with ROCKWOOL policies (sales, supply chain and risk management).Build long‑term relationships with distributors and customers to increase satisfaction and retention.Provide technical and commercial support, including presentations, trainings, seminars and participation in fairs/events.Develop business up the value chain: architects, specifiers, owners, contractors, installers.Promote ROCKWOOL systems and new products; identify market opportunities and customer needs.Monitor contract compliance (payment terms, credit limits) and follow up on payment behaviour in cooperation with internal teams.Act as a backup for sales colleagues when needed and contribute to local marketing planning.Business administrationConduct ongoing market and competitor analysis; gather relevant market intelligence.Build and execute annual action plans with clear objectives.Deliver regular reporting: weekly/monthly activity reports, forecasts, sales budgets and expense tracking.Escalate any incidents that may create risk or liability for the business.Participate in internal sales meetings and support ad‑hoc business tasks as required.This is who you areStrong knowledge of the construction market.3+ years of B2B sales experience in construction/building materials (distribution sales preferred).Proven ability to build networks, negotiate and influence stakeholders.Independent, well‑organised and results‑oriented; high integrity and strong teamwork mindset.Strong communication and presentation skills.Fluent English (Romanian native level expected).Driving licence (Category B) and willingness to travel regularly.This is what we offerCompetitive salary package + performance‑based bonus.Company car, laptop, mobile phone25 holiday days/year (+1 extra day for every 5 years of seniority).13th salary and Christmas allowance.Additional private health insurance.Monthly flexible benefits budget.Annual individual performance review and development support.Training sessions and courses to support your professional growth.Inclusive, international environment where people from different backgrounds work side by side.We are a purpose-driven, sustainable, and people-focused company built on three strong pillars🌍 Sustainability & Responsibility – every role helps create a better tomorrow.
