Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.Within FM, in Competitive Pricing area, we have ING Pricing Architecture (IPA) platform, which consists of multiple components that enable real-time and batch calculations of financial risk metrics and simulations (e.g. XVA, PFE, Value at Risk, Expected Shortfall, Bilateral Margining, pre-deal derivatives Pricing) which are driven by new banking regulations as well as advanced Risk analysis on the derivative product portfolio of Financial Markets (interest rates, credits, foreign exchange). This platform is in the heart of the IT landscape for our global dealing rooms and risk managers in Asia, Europe and Americas, with aprox. 30 scrum teams spread across 4 locations (Amsterdam, Brussels, Bucharest and Singapore), cooperating to evolve it towards target ING Financial Markets IT vision.The Competitive Pricing Area, part of the FM> Tribe, seeks an enthusiastic Functional Operation Engineer, with a solid operations and techno-functional background in the Financial Markets domain.Your day to dayEven if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. You will work closely with your business users and other squads to provide end to end support to various customer journeys. Your responsabilities will include:Performing incident and problem management activities, including root cause analysis to determine the actual failure cause and implement structural fixes. You communicate directly with users (Traders, Credit/Market Risk Managers) on this from Amsterdam, London, Brussels, New York and SingaporeProviding level-2 support in deploying and running an application/stack in production. Willingness to work occasionally on weekends to support planned system changes and migration activities, ensuring minimal impact on business operationsFinding opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance and security as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more. This is a key responsibility of the Operations EngineersPerforming data improvement by (re)configuring new and existing products, reports and processes in general.Understanding the entire stack’s technology on which the application runs and how it fits in the overall chain.Build, enhance and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive or error prone tasks, using the correct Event AlertsPerforming Functional testing and Change Management activities in order to ensure the safe deliveries from Test, to Acceptance and to Production environmentOffering functional incident management on a front office pricing application, used within the Financial Markets domain worldwide.Supporting end users in using the application; enriching the back-end databases with new products, reports and scheduled tasks.What you'll bring to the teamEducation: Completed education at Bachelor/Master levelExperience: 3+ years background in Financial Markets and/or TreasurySkills/knowledge of the following concepts/ technologies:Experience in Financial Markets and/or Treasury (interest rate and FX derivates valuation, market risk modelling - for ex.
