Its expertise and closely managed supply chain have been behind some of Damen’s most important deliveries to date, fully illustrating the group’s diverse product portfolio.The role The activity of the lead engineer in the Engineering Department of Damen Galati Shipyard is closely linked to the ongoing work on the vessels under construction.
Therefore, there is a permanent need for collaboration with all those involved in the construction work, as well as the provision of specific technical assistance in relation to the execution documentation and its transposition to the production needs.Key accountabilities • Coordination of the team managing the project documentation;
- Checking the feasibility of the solutions chosen by the design engineer;
- Carrying out activities of verification, analysis, processing and adaptation of the execution documentation;
- Drawing up drawings or sketches intended to complete and clarify the execution documentation received from other sources;
- Providing technical assistance to production department;
- Drawing up revision sheets and repair sheets;
- Constant communication with Class and client to resolve various issues arising during the vessel construction process;
- MS Office, Autocad/DraftSight, Nupas-Cadmatic;
- English - advanced level, both written and read;
- Knowledge and understanding of the ship construction process.
- Experienced in coordination/planning activities - an advantage;
- Determined to complete all tasks and duties as efficiently as possible to meet deadlines;
- Adaptability to changing workloads;
- Knowledge of technological processes in the production flow;
- Constant concern for raising individual professional standards.
