Its defense and space technologies enable governments and institutions to protect natural resources, societies and individual freedom.Interest group:Sourcing/ProcurementContract type/working time:Unlimited/FulltimeWork experience:min 5 years, out of which min 3 years in SourcingWe are looking for a Senior Commodity Buyer to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team.Areas of impact: SourcingMission:As part of the Sourcing team, your mission will be to manage the internal requests for goods and services, enforce the Sourcing processes all across the organization, manage and optimize the supplier base, perform market research, conduct commercial and contractual negotiations, perform the operational procurement steps like ordering and reporting.This position will require security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.Tasks & accountabilities:As part of the daily activity, you will be challenged and reworded by:Working as part of the Sourcing team, in a matrix organization acting both for the local entity and for the international Sourcing networkHaving the chance to build and manage supplier relationshipsContributing to the bid, tender and supplier selection process which is mandatory and highly appreciatedUsing negotiation and communication skills for the set-up and negotiation of contractual agreements with suppliersUsing your value judgment to:analyse commercial scope of supply/customer requirements;identify alternative sources of supply and solutions;influence Make or Buy decision;coordinate/ produce RFQ Pack;support & challenge Scope of Work & BoM jointly with Project Manager and Project Sourcing Manager and implementing related Sourcing plan and SchedulePresenting and evaluating offers from the suppliers together with other relevant stakeholders within the organisationOrganizing & creating sourcing reports to the respective Commodity Manager (functional) and to the Project ManagerBased on business needs, travel within and outside the country might be required.Requirements:The successful applicant should have the following skills and knowledge:University graduated. Economic field preferred.Relevant and proven experience of minimum 3 years in a Sourcing departmentExperience in sourcing metallic structures, deployable solutions and components or contributing into a company delivering these types of items will be considered a plus.Experience in sourcing or performing related services, like integration, installation and maintenance or contributing into a company providing these types of services will be considered a plus.Deep understanding of the contractual elements and contractual structureNegotiation skillsAbility to understand market elements and dynamicsKnowledge of and experience with:Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point)SAP (nice to have)Language skills: Advanced level of English.
