- Develops and implements comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with overall business objectives and evolving market dynamics.
- Conducts rigorous market analysis to identify potential suppliers, innovative solutions and cost-saving opportunities.
- Generates, documents and implements savings initiatives, and monitors and reports on relevant KPIs to contribute to the business's financial success.
- Ensures full compliance with Siemens procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards across all procurement activities.
- Drives operational efficiency and continuous improvement in procurement processes, with strong focus on digitalization and process optimization.
- Manages the procurement budget, ensuring optimal allocation and cost control.
- Is responsible for PVO and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to support financial targets.
- Manages the entire procurement lifecycle, from supplier identification and qualification to contract negotiation, and performance management.
- Leads complex negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable terms, pricing, quality standards, and delivery timelines, ensuring competitive advantage.
- Builds and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration and reliability.
- Acts as a liaison between technical teams and suppliers, ensuring alignment between technical specifications and supplier capabilities.
- Proactively identifies and mitigates supply chain risks and develops plans for supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborates closely with production and planning teams to accurately forecast and fulfill material needs.
- Fosters cross-functional collaboration with other departments.
- Leads, coaches and develops a team of procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience in leading procurement teams and delivering successful procurement strategies with measurable results.
- Strong proficiency in supplier negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship development.
- Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, sourcing strategies, and risk management in a trading or industrial context.
- Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end procurement processes and drive cost optimization.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP), procurement platforms, and data analytics tools.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of German is considered an advantage.
