Caring actively for the environment, for people, and for our customers is what makes us a great place to work and together we are shaping a better and more caring tomorrow.Job roleThe Senior Controller role for BMP Retail contributes to forecast, plan and analysis of the financial performance of the company, supports decision making by providing useful and relevant information to senior leadership and the board of directors in driving and managing the business, assuring the strategic objectives of the business through evaluation of business cases.What you will do

Proactively manage the P&L and cost measures.
Coordinate the annual planning process.
Conduct monthly financial forecasts.
Analyze variances by comparing historical results with forecasts to identify performance differences and implement improvements.
Support cost center controlling and financial processes by monitoring time and expenses.
Assist in the creation, development, and implementation of effective controlling tools and procedures.
Gain insights into business and technical operations to aid in financial analysis and budget requests/approvals.
Prepare financial reports and presentations for the management team.
Compile monthly and quarterly forecast and expenditure reports.
Maintain and optimize the cost control model, including cost allocations, cost center structures, reports, and processes.
Validate, challenge, and refine input data from external and internal providers.
Help project participants manage their budgets by supporting effective planning, spending, and controlling.
Collaborate with various departments and project teams.
Aid in developing processes to enhance budget planning and control.
Contribute, establish, and further develop guidelines, methods, and processes for controlling topics.

What you bring

Relevant work experience in accounting or controlling in an international work environment.
Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
Strong business acumen and ability to challenge assumptions constructively as well as excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
Self-starter who thrives working independently while collaborating cross-functionally and an innovative thinker who brings fresh perspectives to existing processes.
Proven ability to create impactful financial dashboards and visualizations with an analytical mindset with ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources.
We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.

You have

At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Controlling in an international environment.
University Degree (preferably Business Administration, Economics or Financials and Accounting).
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel-create dashboards, pivot, financial formulas, PowerPoint) / Power BI.
Knowledge of SAP (SAP CO and FI, SAP BO, SAP BW).
Fluent English written and spoken.
Entrepreneur mindset.
Technical and business mindset.
Knowledge of Ariba and Service Now is plus.
