- Strategic Planning: Defining the long-term vision and strategy for the tribe, ensuring alignment with the overall objectives of the organization.
- Leadership and Management: Providing leadership and direction to the tribe, which includes multiple squads or teams. This often involves coordinating efforts, managing resources, and ensuring that teams are functioning effectively towards common goals.
- Collaboration and Communication: Facilitating communication and collaboration both within the tribe and with other parts of the organization. This might involve liaising with other Tribe Leads, department heads, and senior management.
- Performance and Development: Monitoring the performance of the tribe, setting goals, and ensuring continuous improvement. Responsible for the professional development and mentoring of team leads or managers within the tribe.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Addressing complex challenges that arise within the tribe, making strategic decisions to navigate obstacles, and adapting strategies as necessary.
- Cultural Leadership: Cultivating a positive, productive culture within the tribe, often focusing on values like collaboration, innovation, and agility.
- 3+ years' experience working in a similar role
- Good understanding of the technical aspect of software development
- Good understanding of the business context
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
- Critical thinking and good analytical & problem-solving skills
- Proven client facing & stakeholder management experience
- Proactive focus on customer needs & business value with a fine balance between people over processes
- Ability to manage constant change and uncertainty
- Self-organized, detail-oriented and willingness for continuous self-improvement
- Team Player
- Spoken and written fluency in English
- German Language is a plus
