Take part in Action!: our volunteering program where you can dedicate up to 3 days of your working time per year to support local citizenship initiatives and causes that resonate with youActivitiesAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to act as Chief Accountant for multiple legal entities, managing the statutory, tax, and financial reporting of a complex, multi-entity scope within an international group environment.The role covers 13 entities (8 consolidated subsidiaries) as well as 1 industrial site with strong interaction across Finance, Tax, Treasury, and corporate stakeholders.Key Responsibilitieso Ensure the preparation of financial and tax accounting records, income statements, balance sheets, notes to the financial statements, and consolidated financial statements, and perform analyses for client counterparts in the business units and finance departments of the entities and the division. Meet submission deadlineso Apply the department's task and responsibility matrix with its counterparts to implement optimized processeso Determine and calculate estimated and final taxes, prepare reports, and compile the consolidation package in accordance with IFRSo Finalize the annual financial statements and prepare the noteso Respond to requests from the statutory auditors during the annual audit of the financial statementso Prepare accounting and tax files as well as tax returns within the specified deadlineso Prepare the audit file for each entity and submit it to the Division's Accounting Manager for approvalo Produce the necessary documents to respond to inquiries from the tax authorities and the expert from the Central Works Council (CCE)o Prepare management reports and ensure consistency with the consolidated financial statements where applicableo Participate, where applicable, in the entities' budgeting process; manage, where applicable, the creation and monitoring of RFSso Ensure cash flow reportingo Participate in the implementation of performance projects or contribute to the drafting of technical noteso Ensure the proper fulfillment of contractual obligations toward the cliento Prepare reports for the Balance Sheet Committeeso Ensure the publication of the Company's financial statements and consolidated financial statements in accordance with French and international standards and within the required deadlines.o Manage client relations with the Company's various counterparties.o Serve as the center of expertise and accounting advisory services to support business units in their projects.Candidate ProfileQualifications/Experience required
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Overall, 7-10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting department
- Professional certification is required (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, DSCG or CECCAR)
- 4-5 years of experience in financial accounting, financial statement preparation and Tax and consolidation environments
- Experience in a Chief Accountant role within a complex environment
- Exposure to industrial, consolidated, and international environments
- Exposure to tax reporting and collaboration with tax teams is a strong advantage
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and/or French local GAAP), Closing and reporting processes and Internal controls
- Solid exposure to audits, statutory reporting, and interactions with tax authorities
- Experience in Shared Services, GBS, or international group environments is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially for non-standard or complex accounting cases
- Solid PC skills: Technically Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Business Central is a plus, Advanced Excel skills.
- Autonomous, rigorous, and comfortable managing complexity and deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- English and French proficiency is compulsory C1
