- Work closely with suppliers: Monitor their ability to meet delivery dates, reschedule purchase orders and resolve any supply issues with the supplier. Monitor past due orders and work with suppliers, receiving and accounting to resolve issues. Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues with suppliers.
- Ensure optimal parameter settings for your parts when issuing orders, including correct pricing, optimal safety stock settings, supplier lead time, replenishment parameters, lot size, returnable packaging etc. to obtain optimum price breaks & minimal set up costs while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.
- Lead or co-lead & drive process improvement projects at your supplier base, e.g. technical change, phase in/phase-out, KPI performance optimization on department level regarding on the End-to-End (E2E) optimum.
