As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the UI team, you will not just implement features — you will shape how enterprise data collaboration happens inside the Adobe ecosystem. You will help design the systems that allow businesses to connect, activate shared insights, and ultimately deliver more meaningful customer experiences.
If you are driven by complexity, ownership, and architectural impact — this is your challenge.What you’ll do:Create the future Adobe products by building and maintaining complex and robust user interfaces for our customersOwn the outcome by taking the initiative and ownership for the application design efforts while always optimizing for quality, scalability and performance.Raise the bar by focusing on continuously innovating and seeking novel methods for addressing complex technical distributed system challenges.Be genuine, serve as a mentor, foster a collaborative environment and encourage and guide team members by being honest and direct.Work with and across teams and domains to collaborate.Act with clarity and precision, ensuring projects are driven with a strong sense of ownership and direction.What you will need to succeed:Strong Frontend Engineering Foundation7–10+ years building complex, data-driven web applicationsStrong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScriptSolid experience with React ecosystem (hooks, state management, performance optimization)Experience with GraphQL and/or REST APIsStrong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, accessibilityExperience building scalable component architectures and performant UIsTesting & Engineering QualityHands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or similar E2E frameworksExperience with Jest / React Testing Library or similar toolsExperience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with frontend test strategies across unit, integration, and E2E layersBackend & Control Plane AwarenessExperience consuming and reasoning about REST and/or GraphQL APIsFamiliarity with backend development concepts (Node.js, Java, or similar is a plus)Working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databasesUnderstanding of data models and metadata-driven systemsAbility to make frontend decisions informed by backend constraintsComfortable participating in cross-layer architectural discussionsCI/CD & Build Systems FamiliarityExperience working with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)Familiarity with frontend build tooling (Webpack, Vite, etc.)Comfortable debugging pipeline or deployment issuesExperience integrating automated tests into build and release workflowsAI & Engineering ProductivityExperience using AI tools to improve development workflowsInterest in integrating AI-driven automation into testing, reviews, or documentationFamiliarity with LLM-based APIs or agentic workflows is a plusPractical mindset toward improving engineering velocity with AIComputer Science & System ThinkingStrong foundation in computer science fundamentalsSolid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and complexityAbility to reason about performance, scalability, and trade-offsStrong critical thinking and optimization mindsetGreat to HaveExperience working in microservices architecturesExposure to cloud-native environments (AWS/Azure)Experience with Docker and containerized deploymentsFamiliarity with distributed systems environmentsAbout AdobeAdobe empowers everyone to create through innovative platforms and tools that unleash creativity, productivity and personalized customer experiences.
