- Analysis of requests for quotation and the related technical documentation
- Preparation of technical offers
- Technical analysis of orders (non-exhaustive list)
- Quantitative analysis
- Provides technical support for special processes.
- Develops manufacturing routings/process sheets (manufacturing technology).
- Prepares bills of materials.
- Develop work procedures, allocation sheets, self-inspection sheets, passports, and technical inspection and control plans.
- Completes the order annex for outsourced works and services in the designated sections.
- Defines tooling requirements together with the tooling engineer and the head of the tooling department.
- Translates, adapts, drafts in Romanian, and submits to production the translated documents (drawings, procedures, specifications, work instructions) received from customers in English or French.
- Issues, receives, and resolves Non-Conformance Reports by analyzing the causes of non-conformities, the resolution method, and the responsible party, in accordance with the codes established in MAC QMS (Quality management system) and the Power Service Now IT system.
- Monitors in production how non-conformities are resolved and establish corrective actions in the manufacturing routings based on lessons learned.
- Prepares the qualification program for products requiring new technologies and participates in all qualification stages.
- Prepares technical assessment programs and participates in these assessments both at the company’s premises and on-site, domestically or abroad. Prepare the technical report at the end of the assessment work.
- Upon request from the Procurement Department, visit material and service sub-suppliers to assess their technical capability, verify compliance with technical execution requirements, and analyze supplier non-conformities.
- Performs tooling design activities in line with own competencies.
- Maintains awareness of the status of each ongoing project for which they are the technical lead/responsible person.
- Continuously develops professional and technical knowledge through training programs and information exchanges with GE personnel from other centers.
- Demonstrates commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency values (6 Sigma, Lean, 5S).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Experience in manufacturing engineering/mechanical assembling
- 3D software knowledge (AutoCad/Inventor/Catia)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies (VSM , 5S etc)
- Knowledge of materials science (iron, steel, copper)
- Fluent Romanian languages skills, and minimum intermediate level of English language knowledge
