This includes managing the developer portal, API catalogue, governance standards, onboarding journeys, operational service quality, and ecosystem adoption. You act as the "spider in the web", aligning product, technology, risk, compliance, and country organizations to deliver a secure, compliant, scalable platform for real-time financial services.You report hierarchically to the IT Area Lead (ITAL) and functionally to the Product Lead, working closely with squads, Product Area Leads, architects, risk functions, and API-producing domains such as Payments and Lending.The MissionYou will be a member of the Global Digitized Card Gateway squad, which plays a pivotal role in the Payments tribe, by developing the platform for enrolling cards in ING's mobile app. The platform enables enrollment and lifecycle management for both debit and credit cards, as well as various digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Click to Pay, and others, for ING customers from 7 countries where it operates.The platform is mostly written in Java, with most of the applications based on Spring Boot. For CI/CD we use Azure DevOps, which made our life a lot easier since we adopted it. The team currently has 5 talented engineers based in Amsterdam. We work in an Agile fashion, and our engineers take end-to-end responsibility of the full lifecycle of its applications - from requirements engineering all the way up to production releases.Here's a sneak peak of what our colleagues say about working within ING Hubs Romania:Your day to dayEven if you'll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office's garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:
  • Manage the application and integration with other data suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain automation for monitoring and optimizing systems - embracing self-service and autonomy.
  • Configure and deploy monitoring tools and scripts to ensure appropriate observability of the hosting platforms and resources.
  • Examine existing systems, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve service uptime and time-to-resolve through monitoring and automated remediation.
  • Plan and execute full software development life cycles (SDLC) for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations.
  • Design and build tools and frameworks to automate development, testing deployment, management and monitoring of the company's 24x7 services and products.
  • Plan and scale distributed software and applications, applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with urgency and quality.
  • Resolve incidents raise by the stakeholders.
  • As part of a cross-border Squad, you work in an Agile/Scrum way, on the backlog prioritized by a Product Owner.
What you'll bring to the teamExperience: minim 4 yearsTech stack/ knowledge:Mandatory:
  • Really good knowledge and experience of Linux OS fundamentals and virtualization concepts
  • Experience with container orchestrations platform such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Knowledge of any continuous integration and continuous delivery tools
  • Networking, communication protocols, firewall, security
  • Good experience of well-known OSS monitoring tools (such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus) as well as dashboard creation.
  • Experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef, and automated deploy on both container and non-container platforms.
  • Relational (Oracle preferable) or any non-relational database knowledge.
Nice to have:
  • Basic knowledge of Scrum / Kanban and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with distributed teams.
  • Foreign languages: English (advanced)
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in an IT related field
