OverviewTremend is looking for a hands-on Senior Architect to design and deliver end-to-end, API-driven solutions on Google Cloud. The role combines strong architectural ownership with hands-on development and active stakeholder engagement.Responsibilities:
  • Design end-to-end system architectures using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and API-first principles
  • Define and govern integration architectures, including layered workflows, authentication, and authorization
  • Lead architecture reviews and present designs to technical design authorities, ensuring sign-off through clear, high-quality documentation
  • Own and address non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, resilience, and operational readiness
  • Actively contribute to implementation, with ~40% hands-on coding in Java
  • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across multiple forums to drive alignment and buy-in
Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in Java and API-based system design
  • Proven expertise in integration design patterns and distributed systems
  • Experience designing for cloud-native environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Deep understanding of security, scalability, and operationalisation concerns
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have:
  • Insurance domain knowledge is highly appreciated
  • Proven usage of AI Agents and tools (like Slingshot or alternatives)
